At Cook’s, hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. This spring, employees across the company put their skills, teamwork and dedication to work during one of the busiest times of the year—and for a group of top performers, that hard work came with an unforgettable reward.

Winners of the Sentricon System Spring Spectacular earned a family getaway to Wilderness at the Smokies, giving employees an opportunity to trade swarm season for some well-earned time away with the people who matter most.

Celebrating a Job Well Done

Swarm season is an especially busy time for Cook’s teams, requiring long days, attention to detail and a commitment to providing customers with exceptional service. The Sentricon System Spring Spectacular gave employees an added incentive to work toward while recognizing those who rose to the challenge.

But the reward wasn’t just about getting away. By including employees’ families, the trip gave winners an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments with the people who support them throughout the year.

For Dustin Cannon and his family, that made the experience particularly meaningful.

“The trip to the Smoky Mountains was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable experiences my family has ever had,” Dustin said. “One of the biggest reasons is that I have never been part of a company that goes above and beyond not only for its customers, but for its employees as well.”

From Swarm Season to the Smokies

After a demanding season, Dustin said the trip was a rewarding reminder of what can happen when a team works together toward a common goal.

“Swarm season was incredibly busy and required a great deal of time, effort and dedication,” he said. “There were long days and plenty of challenges, but this trip made every bit of the hard work, stress and commitment worthwhile.”

Once they arrived in the Smokies, work gave way to family time—and plenty of fun.

For Dustin’s kids, the water park was the clear favorite. Between the giant slides and arcade, he says they were already asking when they could go back before the memories had a chance to fade.

“Seeing the excitement and joy on their faces made the experience even more special,” Dustin said.

Memories Made Together

The Cannon family also took advantage of their time in the Smoky Mountains to explore beyond the resort, including visits to the aquarium and Cades Cove.

For Dustin, those experiences turned an employee incentive into something much bigger: an opportunity to make lasting memories with his family while celebrating alongside his Cook’s family.

“Spending that time together, while also sharing the experience with my Cook’s family, made the trip truly unforgettable,” he said.
